5 Tips for Relaxing Your Eyes


Your Eyes and Your Computer

Are you sitting in front of your computer for many hours?
Do you strain your eyes, your shoulders and neck?

Here are 5 tips that will help you save your eyes and relax your entire body:

1. Our bodies are not designed to sit more then 30 minutes at the time. Every 20 minutes (before your hips get tense) stand up, hold your one of your feet in one hand and stretch your leg to the back, one leg at a time. With your other hand, hold onto a chair or table for balance if you need to.

2. Every 2.5 hours leave your desk and take a walk for 10 or 15 minutes, if possible.

3. Place your computer in front of a window; look outside in the far distance as much as you can; look around you often to increase your peripheral vision.

4. When you are reading and not typing, tap with your fingertip on the table, and that will help you wake up your nerves and relax your neck.

Tapping and Breathing

5.Tap around your eyes, or head, shoulders and neck any time you can, even if it’s just a short moment. That will distract and change the focus of your eyes as well as create circulation and stimulation for your nervous system.
